Vietnam Travel Tip: Traveller’s price list

Vietnam dong1 Vietnam Travel Tip: Travellers price list  (August 2012) – Here are is a short, helpful list of prices of useful items for travellers in Vietnam. As a note, these prices (in Vietnam Dong or VND) are approximate and often change with the seasons. It is always best to decide on the price you want to pay before going into any type of bargaining negotiation, and if you can get that price great, go for it!

 

 

 

Fruit: 25,000 to 80,000 VND / kilo depending on the season (banana’s are usually 30,000 VND / kilo
Bottled Water: 5000 to 10,000 VND / 500 mL and 10,000 to 20,000 / 1L
Doughnuts: 3000 to 5000 VND / doughnut
Pho (Noodle Soup): 30,000 to 50,000 VND / bowl
T-shirts: 70,000 to 120,000 VND / t-shirt
Silk scarfs and ties: 80,000 to 200,000 VND / tie or scarf
Xe om (motorcycle taxi) rides: 40,000 to 60,000 VND within the Old Quarter
