Footprint Vietnam Travel has created a specific page to in their “Vietnam Tours” category to highlight tours specifically supporting CBT projects in Vietnam.

Here is the direct link to the section on the Footprint Website.

There are currently three tours listed to two destinations. The first is to and around Sapa. Specifically the tour visits and stays in the village of the Red Dao people. In 2002 a project by Capilano University from Canada worked with Vietnam’s Hanoi Open University to help train villagers in tourism skills. The CBTVietnam Project, as it is referred to as, still continues  in the Sapa area.

The second tour sees tourists visiting Cuc Phuong and Ngoc Son. Recently, Spanish NGO Fundación Promoción Social de la Cultura completed a tourism training project with group of Muong villages and helped to develop home stays.

Both tours have high cultural value, are multi-day experiences, overnight in local home stays, and include trekking.

Footprint is extremely proud of its tour options and especially in supporting the small local economies with its tours. To learn more about Footprint visit their website at www.footprintsvietnam.com
